Create your Free Will
GET STARTED WITH FREEWILL
Everyone should make a will, regardless of wealth. Having a plan in place ensures that your wishes are known, saves your loved ones the stress and cost of intestate probate proceedings, and supports the people and causes you care about most, even after you are gone. With a valid will, you can choose who gets your property, name guardians for your children, provide a home for your pets, and more.
To help you get started on your plans and legacy, we've partnered with FreeWill, a free online tool that guides you through the process of creating your will or trust. FreeWill has helped more than 1,000,000 people plan for their families and favorite charities by completing this essential task for free. You can use this resource on its own, or to document your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney. It only takes 20 minutes, and you may update your will at any time, should your plans or circumstances change
As you create your will, we hope that you will consider a gift to the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation to support the future of libraries. Estate gifts made to the Foundation may be designated as either a specific amount or as a percentage of your estate and are not paid out during your lifetime.
NON-PROBATE ASSETS
Do you have an IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will? If so, these are called non-probate assets and you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. Use this online tool to make your plans and designate us as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets.
If you'd like to discuss your planned giving options and learn more about including the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation in your estate plans, please contact us at Foundation@sno-isle.org or 360-651-7074. Thank you for thinking of your library's future!
With all charitable gifts, it is important to consult with your attorney or financial advisor to ensure that you comply with state laws, receive maximum tax benefits, and that your wishes are accurately reflected in necessary legal documents.
