Legacy Giving
You can create a lasting legacy for your library. By including the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation in your estate plans, you ensure public libraries continue to thrive and serve as cornerstones of democracy. Planned gifts come in many forms without affecting the donor’s current financial resources.
If you are one of our generous supporters who has already included the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation in your estate plans, please fill out this form to let us know! Informing us of your plans is important. We want to ensure that we honor your intentions for your gifts and the impact you wish to make for the Sno-Isle Libraries.
If you'd like to discuss your planned giving options and learn more about including the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation in your estate plans, please contact us at Foundation@sno-isle.org or 360-651-7074. Thank you for thinking of your library's future!
With all charitable gifts, it is important to consult with your attorney or financial advisor to ensure that you comply with state laws, receive maximum tax benefits, and that your wishes are accurately reflected in necessary legal documents.
The Legacy of John & Betty Parks
In 2023, the Foundation received a $1.8 million bequest in support of the Snohomish Library from the estate of philanthropists John & Betty Parks.
John & Betty were longtime Snohomish residents and library patrons who cared deeply about their community. During their lifetime, they chose to set up a trust to ensure their wishes were fulfilled after their passing. Their forward-thinking, transformational gift will have a profound impact on the Snohomish community for generations to come.
The Nysether Family Collection
The Nysether Family Endowment was established by brothers Mark and Brad Nysether and their families in honor of their parents, Eldon and Shirley Nysether. Each year proceeds from the endowment help enhance a different area of the Library collection.
