ABOUT THE PANEL

Nancy Leson is a Seattle-based food writer and radio personality who learned much of what she knows about food during her first career: waiting tables. Seattle readers know her as a restaurant critic and food columnist for the Seattle Times and NPR member station KNKX. Nancy teaches cooking classes at PCC, Book Larder, Bayview School of Cooking, and other culinary schools. Learn more about her at http://www.nancyleson.com.

Shubert Ho is the executive chef and owner of Feedme Hospitality & Restaurant Group, located in Edmonds. The group has established six restaurants–Salt & Iron, Bar Dojo, The MAR·KET, SanKai, Fire & The Feast, and Shore Pine Coffee & Gelato–and a catering business in the last decade.

Marjie Bowker is an Edmonds-based world traveler who lives for street food. She is an accomplished home cook whose new food blog Eat99 introduces readers and eaters to the wide world of international foods along Highway 99. Marjie is also an English Teacher and the editor of books of essays written by students who share their personal experiences and struggles.

Maria Montalvo is an Edmonds-based consultant, an instructor at Edmonds College’s Creative Retirement Institute, and a freelance writer whose column, Arts & Appetite, appears weekly in the Edmonds Beacon where she regularly writes about local restaurants.
