The Trudy J. Sundberg Memorial Fund will underwrite a lecture series that will honor the memory of Trudy Sundberg and her lifelong commitment to discover, explore and exchange information, ideas, and opinions in an environment of respect and consideration.
An annual presentation by an eminent speaker, selected by a team of community and library staff representatives, will explore the areas of interest that Trudy shared: education, literature, history, the arts, civic engagement and politics.
The lecture presentation will be part of an annual programming initiative for adults on Whidbey Island, promoting reading and lifelong learning, and covering issues of current local and national or global interest. Funds for the program may also be used to enhance pertinent library resources and access to information for residents of the Sno-Isle Libraries district.
